Information We Collect
When you register, we collect the information you voluntarily provide in your profile, including your display name, age, gender, location, family goals, bio, photo, and contact email. We also collect your Google account identifier when you sign in via Google OAuth. We do not collect passwords.
How We Use Your Information
Your profile information is used to display your member card to other registered members, match you with compatible individuals, and enable messaging between mutual matches. Your email is used solely to communicate account updates and, if you opt in, our newsletter. We never sell your data to third parties.
Data Sharing
Your profile is visible to other verified members of White Loves Matter. We do not share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or unaffiliated third parties. Limited data may be shared with service providers (e.g., Stripe for payment processing) strictly to operate the platform.
Payment Information
Registration fees are processed through Stripe. White Loves Matter never stores your full credit card number. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment details. Upon successful payment, we receive confirmation of your registration status only.
Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser local storage to persist your session, search preferences, and unread message state. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies.
Data Retention
Your profile and account data are retained for as long as your account remains active. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us or using the delete option on your Account page. Upon deletion, your profile, matches, and messages are permanently removed.
Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. User authentication is handled through Google OAuth via our secure auth broker. Access to your records is enforced by row-level security policies on our database, meaning only you can read or update your own private data.
Children's Privacy
White Loves Matter is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a minor has registered, we will promptly delete their account.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
